Alicia is one of the team at the unit for the Early Childhood Development Program, within this role her dedication shines onto the diverse needs of all her 20 students with disabilities, whom are in the age group of 3-5yrs. Her talent and ability to attend to so many differing needs is inspiring, and the abundant care she shows is always delivered with such encouragement & support to students and their families. She is always approachable and constantly keeping up with professional developments. She is an asset to our special needs unit, with a constant smile and word of advice.
We were lucky enough to be in Alicia's class for 2 years. Alicia was always knowledgeable, approachable, professional & friendly. My son is quite severely disabled and also non verbal so I was a little scared to leave him in the care of someone else. But Alicia soon laid my fears to rest with the care and love shown to my son and the other children. Alicia went above and beyond to ensure my son was included in all classroom activities and even arranged to borrow toys and equipment from the local toy library. Alicia is an asset to our school community.
